Farmer's markets are the best.
They're full of people, produce, and handmade items, each stall with more vibrant products than the last.

I am a devoted weekly attendee to my local farmer's market, and I often follow a similar ritual:
Walk a loop.
Get a sweet and sour veggie steamed bun.
Consider going on the kids bouncy castle.
Buy some veggies and staple foods.
Maybe get a treat!
Below is a photo of the sweet and sour veggie steamed bun from King's Vegetarian Food stall. It's SO GOOD and tastes exactly like the sweet and sour pork buns that you get at dim sum! And for only $2.50, it's a must-get.

Reasons to check out your local farmer's market? Okay, let me count the ways:
- It supports local businesses.
- Fresh produce!
- You gain knowledge about what's in season when, so suddenly seeing zucchini in February at the grocery store seems odd...
- When things ARE in season, they become ridiculously cheap!
- You get to spend time outside.
- Kids seem less annoying (a kid running between stalls with face paint? Adorable. Between grocery store aisles? No. Or maybe that's just me.)
- You get to know your farmer and understand how your food is produced.
- You never know what you may find.
- I see more shoppers smiling at farmer's markets than grocery stores. (Thinking about it now, how odd would it be to see someone smiling to themselves while walking through the cereal aisle? Or frozen foods section?)
When I come home and unpack my haul of treasures, I get an odd sense of pride and excitement. Maybe it's because I'm excited of all the delicious things I'm then able to cook, or perhaps because I'm inspired by the innovative food items sold by the different stalls. Whatever the reason may be, it's a thrill that keeps me going back to the market!
Today's unwarranted advice from Rebecca?
Go to your local farmer's market!
(And then take photos and tell me about it.) They're so addictive.
