1) A reputable school in a city I'm lusting over, with a good supervisor who I think I'd get along really well with, and a program that isn't exactly what I think I love, but may still be interesting, or:
2) A good but smaller school in a nice town, with a good supervisor and a program that is more in line with what I think I have a passion for.
Which factors are most important? Which factors can be compromised, and attended to later on? And lastly, neither supervisor has guaranteed to take me as a student! Do I tell both that I'm interested in being considered, and then just turn one down (in the fortunate chance that both accept me)?
For something that so many of my friends seem to have done effortlessly, I feel like I'm struggling more than necessary. I'm scared to make the wrong decision. Fear, it seems, is becoming a congruous theme of this month.
