So you may know that I'm Canadian.
And today, July 1st, Canadians across the country are celebrating "Canada Day." There's a lot of pride that comes with the day, as well as remembrance for the injustice brought upon the natives of Turtle Island. I can't speak well on the latter, and so I encourage you to follow the link provided.
However, despite the mistakes made by early Canadian settlers, I still believe that Canada is one of the greatest countries of the modern world. We have a lot we can improve on, but we also have a lot to celebrate. I enjoy many of the stereotypes, and I take pride in knowing that many other countries look to us as an example.
My Facebook exploded with photos of my friends in red and white apparel, with our country's breathtaking natural scenery as the backdrop. I was also bombarded with videos that capitalized on national pride, and I decided to share some of my favourites here. I hope you get a little giggle out of them, like I did. :)

Happy Canada day, friends.
And now, we brace ourselves for the 4th of July...
