Have I gotten your attention?
This is a recipe that is so simple, I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't try it earlier. Because it's delicious. I was inspired by the Holidrizzle popcorn my parents love from Costco, but alas I don't have a membership to the warehouse and besides - surely I could make it healthier(ish) and for less money... right? Right!
Just so we're clear: This. Stuff. Is. So. Good.
And I thought I was soooo creative in realizing how simple it was to recreate, and yet so many other food blogs have been sharing these for years (womp womp).

But I decided to share my experience anyways, since those fancy food blogs can often make things that are actually hard look ridiculously easy. And then when I try to recreate the recipe and it fails, I just feel incompetent. So here's my trial... and it was a success! So if I can do it, you can too!

Save money! Buy loose kernels and pop them in the microwave using a paper bag. To begin, I air popped some kernels. Money saving tip: buy loose kernels (they usually come in a bag or jar at the grocery store) and then pop them using brown bags in the microwave, just as you would with pre-packaged microwave popcorn. Then, simply melt some chocolate (add a little coconut oil if you'd like) and pour it on top! Sprinkle with sea salt and you're DONE. |
Desperate for easy instructions? Here's the "recipe" (if you can even call it that...)
Then eat (and eat and eat). And don't assume you're going to share. Seriously, this whole bag was for me. And it was gone in less than 8 minutes. I barely made it to the opening credits of my movie.
Bon appetit! (munch munch munch)
